  • Mind Monmouthshire – Supporters of mental health
  • Monmouthshire Housing – A housing support agency who helps their tenants and community groups that also support their tenants
  • Hafal – A charity supporting those with mental health issues and their carers
  • Jigsaw Wales – Support people with mental health issues and their carers in Newport – This group inspired me to set up MEN HEAL, it’s an amazing group
  • Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Mind – Supporters of better mental health
  • Citizens Advice Bureau – Contact them for independent advice (this is a national website, but there is a local branch here in Abergavenny)
  • Papillon Mental Wellbeing Art Group – Meet Mondays 11am-1pm, Wednesdays 2pm-4pm. No cost. The Wooden Church on North Street, Abergavenny.

  • Time to Change Wales – An organisation campaigning to stop mental health discrimination
  • Gofal – Support people with mental health issues, and also campaign so that people have a greater understanding of mental health

  • Dads Matter UK – Support for dads mental wellbeing in order to reduce the risks of Postnatal Depression, PTSD or anxiety
  • Men’s Minds Matter – Information on and support for male mental health
  • Men’s Sheds – An organisation that creates groups where men can come together to do practical activities and projects together
  • Mens Advice Line – Phone support line for men who have suffered from domestic abuse
  • Samaritans – Talk to them about whatever is getting to you, you don’t have to be suicidal
  • SANE – They work to improve the lives of anyone suffering with mental health issues
  • Rethink – campaigners for mental health, support for those with mental health and a great support line
  • National Centre for Mental Health – An organisation focused on quality research in to mental health, and to educate people with the results
  • Anxiety UK – provides information, support and understanding to those suffering from anxiety disorders (also includes a helpline)
