About a year ago I started getting very high levels of trauma surfacing at night even though there was no obvious cause. I was lying in bed with no specific external problems at that time.
It felt really difficult not knowing the cause, as without a tangible enemy to combat it can feel like there’s no strategy or method to overcome the problem.
I heard of a technique recently whereby you visualise the problem or problem thoughts as a bully or enemy. In this way you have a tangible enemy or problem to work on.
This gave me great hope.
